In celebration of Connecticut Museum Open House Day the Milford Preservation Trust will open the John Downs House, 139 North Street, from 2 pm to 4pm.
Historian Tim Chaucer will present a collection of 18th century tools.
At 4pm we will move to the DAR building at 55 Prospect Street for our annual meeting and lecture.
The Milford Preservation Trust will present Alderman Frank Smith with our second annual preservation award.
Former City Historian Richard Platt will discuss "Then and Now- Buildings Around Milford Green ".
Light refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to the public.
Parking is available at both locations.
The overriding mission of the Milford Preservation is to save Milford's historic places and properties. We encourage the protection of what remains of our historic places by using federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
