Gov. Dan Malloy’s newly proposed budget will cut nearly all Community Investment Act funding. Potentially, 100% of the state’s funding of public historic preservation grants will be cut by 2016!

A public hearing before the Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committee will be held on Monday, March 9th, at 11:00 AM, Room 2E, Legislative Office Building, Hartford. A large showing there would be very helpful!

or email your testimony on the value of public historic preservation grants (and other programs) funded with Community Investment Act monies to FINtestimony@cga.ct.gov. Also contact your own state legislators and express your objections to these proposed funding cuts.
